The New York City Department of Education (NYC DOE) is committed to ensuring a safe, supportive, and respectful learning environment for all students. The Discipline Code outlines the standards of behavior expected from all students, as well as the consequences for violating these standards.
Students are expected to show respect for themselves, their peers, and all school personnel. This includes treating everyone with courtesy and consideration, and refraining from any form of bullying, harassment, or discrimination.
